Lindy's Lake Battle of the Bands, 8/18/12. And the winner is "Two Years On." Kevin Regan, on right, and Pete Boreyko, of Nutley, took home the prize on Saturday night after wowing the crowd with their musical style. According to Deborah LaRusso the night was a great success, bringing the community together for an evening of fun and giving the residents the opportunity to select the band that will be returning to play for the lake's Labor Day party. LaRusso and Jennifer Manthey and their husbands put the party together with the help of homeowners Alan Gomberg and AJ Seabeck who graciously offered their back yard as the venue. Gomberg and Seabeck, owners of Stellar Designs, laser and lighting experts, used thier artistic talent, announcing the winners with a laser display on the side of their home. "It was a huge success, there were 60-80 people in and out through the day and night. We basically did it to bring the community together," LaRusso said. Manthey and LaRusso are aiming high with many more activities planned, keeping Lindy's Lake a family friendly community. "I grew up in Lindy's Lake and Jen and I both want our kids to have the same kind of kid friendly environment that I had," LaRusso said. Other entertainment included "Rockhouse" from Wharton who volunteered their talents. The "David Easton Band" put on a great show. "They were all fantastic," LaRusso said. Photo by Ginny Raue
