Vernon Fire Department Photo Op with Santa (People) – Vernon, N.J. – 11/24/2012
Oliver got Santa’s goose, alright…“But Santa, it’s not a duck, it’s a goose; a Sebastopol goose.” Barry Lakes author Leesa Beckmann brought “Oliver the Goose” for photos with Santa and offered her locally oriented books for those who were looking for the perfect holiday gift.. As a fundraiser of the Vernon Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and in turn the fire department, last Saturday firefighter Rob Shirhall took the honors in very personally helping out the merry old elf.Although Santa wasn’t sure what he’d be eating on Christmas Day, Oliver, the star of three of Beckmann’s books, apparently was not on the menu.
