On Friday, April 26, approximately 90 children from the Park Avenue School first grade classes of Pat Santalla, Jennie Cheologis, Charlene D’Angelillo, Cathy Hobart, Donna Berghan and Dori Myers marched to Stanley-Deming Park.
It was Arbor Day and they were on their way to celebrate the planting of a Weeping Willow tree by members of the Village Department of Public Works.

On Saturday, April 27, volunteers from Warwick’s American Legion Post 214, VFW Post 4662 and Boy Scout Troop 45 completed the placing of over 1600 flags at the local gravesites of veterans throughout the area.
The arduous task in Warwick and St. Stephen’s Cemeteries, along with many smaller and private cemeteries within the Town of Warwick, was in preparation for upcoming Memorial Day ceremonies on Monday, May 27.

Second Annual Motorcycle Blessing - Warwick, NY - 4/20/13

On Saturday, April 20, Father Angelo Micciulla (pronounced mit-chew-la), parochial vicar at Warwick’s RC Church of St. Stephen the First Martyr, joined a formation of approximately 70 motorcycle enthusiasts, led by Warwick Police, on a 60 to 70 mile ride through local country roads.
This was the second annual motorcycle blessing and ride.

On Sunday, April 14, the ninth annual Taste of the Town was held on St. Stephen’s Parish grounds.
The huge tent accommodated 28 booths for local restaurants, wineries and other vendors as well as about 1800 ticket holders who attended the popular annual event.

On Monday evening, March 25, the first night of Passover, Jewish families throughout the world gathered around the Seder table in their homes.
Passover commemorates a time when oppression gave way to freedom. And many agree that people of all faiths can find meaning in the celebration.
So it was at the Warwick Reformed Church on Maple Avenue in the Village of Warwick when both Christians and Jews, almost 100 adults and children, gathered around Seder tables to celebrate and learn about Passover.

In a age where alot of people wonder what unnatural chemicals may be in our food, it is refreshing to know that still today there are farmers that still grow food and raise aniamals naturally the way farming statrted. One of those farms is local to our area, High Breeze Farm just past both the West Milford NJ border and the Warwick NY border.
The 160 acre farm, owned by the Demarest family from 1818 to 1860, when it was purchased by the Barrett family. The Barretts operated it continuously from 1860 to 1986 with very few changes to the original farming methods.
