These are photographer Ed Bailey's photographs taken Jan. 22 at George F. Baker High School in Tuxedo. The American Fallen Soldier Project unveiled a portrait of 1st Lt. Louis Allen during ceremonies that evening in the school where Allen taught earth science and physics. He was killed in Iraq in 2005 while on duty with the New York Army National Guard. Artist Phil Taylor presented the protrait to Allen’s widow, Barbara, and their four sons. Copies also were presented to Allen’s parents, Bob and Vivian Allen of Chester, and to High School Principal Denis Petrilak.

West Milford's 1st Snow Fall of Season

Although not quite officialy winter yet West Milford experienced a snow event Dec 5 2009. Areas of Awosting had between 3-4 inches. These photos are of the Snow Covered Mountians around Greenwood Lake, Upper Greenwood Lake & Green Turtle Pond in West Milford. Also there are photos from on top of Mount Peter in Bellvale NY (part of Warwick NY).

West Milford New Jersey's Greenwood Lake Airport held a airshow this past weekend which included a AWESOME line up of both reenactors, and all types of older aircafts for all to enjoy. Just a few weeks after West Milford held its 175th anniversary celebration Tim Wager (manager/owner of the airoport)and his staff hosted the event. Gates opened at 10 am with the first flight a 1938 Piper J-C Cub flown by Kirk Wicker starting at little after 1 pm. Flights and demo of all of all kinds of aircraft continues until close to 4pm.
