Delaware Valley Tops Valley View in Final Seconds

  • Delaware Valley High School defeated Valley View High School (Archbald, PA) in girls varsity basketball on Monday, January 19th 2015. The final score was 34-30. The game took place at Delaware Valley High School in Milford, Pennsylvania. The Delaware Valley Lady Warriors and Valley View Lady Cougars traded the lead numerous times. The deciding factor was when Valley View got into foul trouble with less than a minute to go in regulation. Delaware Valley was able to sink some foul shots allowing them to pull ahead for the win. Delaware Valley's Hannah Gallagher was the games leading scorer accomplishing 15 points. Valley View's Nikki Stine scored 13 points and was the leading scorer for her team.

When other modes of transportion where becoming more widely used the train services was stopped .. but you can still see the proof of the old train tracks still today at the South end of the lake just before the dam..

A Brisk Ride at The 2014 Sussex County Cyclocross & the NJ State Championships

  • The 2014 Sussex County Cyclocross & the NJ State Championships took place at the Sussex County Fairgrounds on Sunday, November 16th 2014. The fairgrounds located in Augusta, New Jersey made for a challenging but fun course for cyclists from the tri-state area. West Point Cycling of The United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, Team Bulldog of Rockaway, NJ, Liberty Cycle of Basking Ridge, NJ, Caffeinated Cyclist of Pitman, NJ, Skylands Cycling of Newton, NJ and Black Bear Cycling of Sussex, NJ were among the many cycling teams that participated.Cyclists braved the brisk autumn air for a chance to win medals and prize money. The event featured multiple age level races for men, women and adolescent cyclists. The Sussex County Cyclocross & the NJ State Championships is one of the last cycling events of the year and runs from early morning to late afternoon.
